Minnie was born in the Indian Territory which later became the state of Oklahoma. She was one of the most extraordinary women I've ever had the pleasure of knowing.

After her death, her son, Rex E. Morton, wrote a poem entitled "Minnie B." It is a lovely tribute to this remarkable woman.
