I joined CLAW in November 2003, after my sisfur Shibui went to Rainbow Bridge. I wanted to follow in her pawprints and become an honorable kitty like she was. At that time, CLAW was a service organization open to all kitties. I enrolled in the University and began working on my Honorable Degree. I wish I had been able to complete all the requirements, before CLAW closed. Even though it is no longer open, some CLAW Guilds are now independent; many activites and events have been moved to new locations.
The first CLAW Guild I joined was the Historical/Victorian Cats Society. Shibui was a memfur of HVCS, and enjoyed purrticipating in their activites. Sir Wally was founder of the guild and he led it for many years. After he retired in the Spring of 2005, HVCS closed for want of a leader. It would have been very difficult for any kitty to fill Sir Wally's paws! Some activities from previous years have been preserved. You may visit those pages by clicking of my memfurship card:
I recently joined Mewsic on Parade, a guild for kitties who love mewsic. I look furward to purrticipating in the activities and expanding my knowledge of mewsical history.
My siblings and I became memfurs of Friends of CLAW Theater several years ago. We enjoy attending the CLAW Thespians purrformances and supporting the Arts! I also joined this Guild as a memfur of CLAW. Please click here to visit our Theater Page.
Leo and Skuzzy purroduced many wonderfur plays for the CLAW Thespian Society. Sadly, Sleeping Beauty will be their final purrduction, as Leo is now designing sets at Rainbow Bridge. He left a tremendous legacy and we will always rememfur his contributions, as well as his charming purrsonality. Please read A Wonderful Life to learn more about this extraordinary kitty and his achievements.
Please click here or follow the "Next" link to see the awards I received during the 2004 CLAW Awards Ceremonies. These are always furry exciting and memorable events! I rememfur that I was shaking in my boots when Queen Midnight presented me with my furry first rank!
I had so much fun at CLAW Summer Camp 2004! It was furry exciting and I learned a lot, too!
Meowmie promised to help me make a scrapbook for all the badges I earned and the souvenirs I collected. I hope she finds time to work on it one of these days!
The CLAW Winter Festival was a furry special event, too. This beautifur badge created by The Quilt Society is just one of many I received by visiting my friends' cabins.
CLAW had a Game Room that featured monthly competitions, as well as puzzles and games kitties can play just for fun. The CLAW Caption Contest is still open and it is one of my favorites. I enjoy reading all the amewsing entries! I won 4th place in Caption Contest #52!
There were always many activities going on at CLAW. Once, Shibui won a purrsonalized comic strip by Jinx the Cat in a raffle held by the memfurs. I was really surprised that she shared the prize with me. She even let me star in it! We both thought that "Glare Scare" was furry amewsing.
CLAW memfurs support the shelters that CLAW sponsors by making donations and publicizing their web sites. Through the Melrose Humane Society, my siblings and I sponsor a special needs kitty named Nora. You may visit the page we made for her by clicking here.
Note: At present time, CLAW is closed. Some activites and events have been moved to new locations; however, pages within the CLAW domain are not accessible.
