A Celebration of Friday the 13th
| If a black cat crosses your path today, you will have a year of GOOD LUCK!!!!!
Some people say that black cats bring bad luck. Mark Levin won a contest for his article "DO BLACK CATS CAUSE BAD LUCK?" His scientific experiments prove that "The idea that black cats cause bad luck is false." Friday the 13th is a special day for all Black Cats. This all day picnic is in their honor. We can spend the day eating, playing games, and telling stories. We're happy so many cats can be here today, old friends and new ones, too! Whiskers, came all the way from Canada! Another friend, Kelly, lives in Mississippi. Did you travel a long way to get here?
 
     
Cleo, thanks for bringing the insects. It wouldn't be a picnic without ants. Where did you find so many different kinds of bugs? And how did you have time to make all the pretty flags? You aren't too tired to play games, are you?

Has anyone seen Junior? He may be wearing his Super Cat suit. Make sure that he and his girlfriend, Spotsy, don't miss the After Dinner Mouse Mints.
Howdy Tilly, Milly and Crazy Cat . . . glad you could get here before midnight! Do you think we should send Junior to rescue Noriko? We don't want anyone to miss this party. China was here early this morning. Bear and B. K. were both in the parade, but B. K. just barely made it. We aren't sure if Choo Choo will be here, but B. K. can tell her all about the picnic when he gets home.

| We hope everyone had a good time. It was fun seeing so many old friends and meeting new ones, too. Our cat photographer took lots of photos and that will help us remember this day. |

Is everybody hungry? Have some Mice-a-Roni and cheese if you please. Sample the Mice Pilaf and Chicken Mole if you want to try something different. If you don't want gourmet food, have a Bird Burger. Do you think those are those are bird seed buns? Everything is on the picnic table - just dive in.
When you're ready for desserts, have some Mice on Ice or mouse mousse. Or dish up some mice cream. There are several flavors to choose from, courtesy of Sunny Delight & Mulligan Stu. Try some Purrsimmon Perch. It's really tasty. Sunny D. brought some Mice Krispies, too. Was that Junior's recipe? If it isn't a secret, we'd like to send a copy of it to Pat's grandcats, Boston and Scout.
