Many things have changed since last year. CLAW is now closed, but its spirit remains. Groups and guilds that stayed open extended invitations to attend their Halloween parties. CLAW Furriends voted to continue the tradition of having a Halloween contest. Lil and Ms. Pepe coordinated the event and awarded prizes, after the votes were tabulated. I entered the contest, wearing the costume that Shibui made for me in 2003. Much to my surprise, I received prizes in two categories! Efurry kitty was declared a winner and Ms Pepe created beautifur awards fur each and efurry one! Mew may view all the costumed kitties and see their awards by clicking here.
Beginning in 2001, it has been my honor to repurrsent my family in the BFCC/CLAW Annual Halloween Costume Contest. This year has been furry difficult for many kitties, especially those who live in Florida and other areas that were hit by the hurricanes. A decision was made to cancel the contest and to have a Spook Night instead. This was a fun event for kitties who wanted to show off their costumes and have fun in a safe place.
My sisfur Shibui helped me make the costume I'm wearing this year. I double-d*g dare mew to touch my nose!There were so many outstanding entries in the contest that it was difficult to decide which kitties to vote for. Although I didn't win a prize this year, it was fun to purrticipate. After the winners were announced, the contestants' costumes remained on display in CLAW Theater fur several months.
I entered this year's contest as "the scariest cat on the Triple C Ranch!"
There were so many fantastical entries that I was quite surprised when Queen Midnight & Freya told me I won a prize!
Just before Meowmie took my picture, I put a hex on her Polaroid camera!
